A WOMAN'S SONG

No one can deny it as they looked upon that sight,
That fella is quite bald and his hair is almost white.
His mouth has a drool with gums showing through,
He sorta sucks on his food, with no teeth to chew.

There he just sits then his bladder lets go,
Just sitting there repeating no, no, no.
Lets hope number two is not to show up next,
Oh, Oh he looks like he's getting quite vexed.

He barely stands now and totters when he walks,
And damned if I can understand him when he talks.
He always leaves his things just lying all around,
And if I say anything he gives that awful frown.

He yells if I wake him, as he likes his naps these days,
I wonder how long he'll be in this ornery phase.
How can I manage to keep up with all the work?
Lord I hope he won't keep acting like a regular jerk.

He's gained a little weight and his clothes are getting tight,
And he keeps me awake, as he can't sleep through night.
He's decided to be picky with anything he eats,
Seems like every night I have to change his sheets.

But I must be patient and thankful to the end,
So as the days go by we will continue to be friends.
It won't be long now, yes I can certainly acknowledge,
Only seventeen more years and he'll be off to that darn college!
