There are brave souls around the world
Who place themselves in danger.
Helping the poor with flag unfurled
So hasty to help a stranger.
Bravery takes a special place
Such courage found in few.
Souls who serve the human race
Helping others carry through.
Their halos must be golden
Full of stars and gems and such.
To them this world’s beholden
For their loving glowing touch.
How can they stand the pain they see?
Show strength when death fills the air.
To help the world to a higher degree
When most others are not to care.
Grace be given these brave souls of God
For they possess uncommon love.
Their aids to those run over shod
Come through their hands from up above.
My pitiful soul must honor them
As this world they work to save.
Would mine could be a courageous gem
Yes, If I could be so brave.
