Put my ski pants on and meet the Treasure Valley riders at The Birds Of Prey store in Caldwell. This was my first ride with the group and i didn’t know anybody but they seemed like a friendly group.
Especially helpful when my bike wouldn’t start. People immediately surrounded me to see what was wrong and try to help. It would turn over by just wouldn’t start. First time I’ve had that happening so i was at a loss. I told them to go on without me but the circle around me just got bigger. Finally someone said to remove the gas cap and try again. Worked like a charm and we were off.
One on the road i started second guessing my fuel level and when the group turned left in Parma, i turned right into the Chevron station. A couple miles later i stopped again to confer with Google as to my directions to the reservoir then followed the sign just past Adrian pointing to the lake.
A few miles later, i crested a small ridge and could see the group crossing the valley floor below. A few minutes later i was bringing up the rear as we approached the dam.
We followed the rough and windy road to its end where we visited for a while getting to know each other and each others rides.
On the way back, the guys i was with at the rear wanted to go ahead of the pack. I figured I’d hang with them for a ways then pull over to take some pictures but ended up riding all the way to the highway with them. When they turned left to go back to Caldwell, i kept south and came home via Homedale.
All in all, a great ride and a nice day to get back out on the road again with Amalfi 2.0.
